Campion College, a Jesuit Catholic liberal arts college federated with the University of Regina, invites applications for a term position in Philosophy, beginning July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011, subject to final budgetary approval. The successful candidate will have expertise in some area of the history of philosophy. Ability to teach our 200-level courses in Plato and the PreSocratics would be an asset. A completed or nearly completed Ph.D., evidence of effectiveness in teaching and an active research program are expected.
Located on the University of Regina campus, Campion offers courses in the humanities, social sciences, fine arts and natural sciences. The college is a fully accredited member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and its graduates receive University of Regina degrees. Campion faculty are voting members of their respective faculties (e.g. Arts, Graduate Studies) of the University of Regina, and also participate extensively at the departmental level. Campion Department of Philosophy members are integrated into the university’s Department of Philosophy.
