Members of the Campion College English Department are also members of the University of Regina English Department, involvement with all levels within the University program from English 100 to graduate courses and thesis supervision. Two special features offered by the Campion English Department are the Writing Centre and the Tutor-Mentor program. The Writing Centre is open during the semester for any student who would like help with writing. The Tutor-Mentor program means that each Campion section of English 100 is assigned a Tutor-Mentor to assist the instructor in various ways, such as by holding group tutorials and one-on-one tutorials with students.
Members of the Department include Dr. Alex MacDonald, Prof. Frank Obrigewitsch, SJ, Prof. Jan Purnis and Dr. Christian Riegel, who regularly organizes readings and presentations at the College. Information on teaching offerings is included in their individual listings. In addition, Campion employs sessional lecturers to ensure that we have sufficient sections of English 100 and 110 to meet the demand by our students.
