Rules and Regulations for Campion College Video Contest 2010

1. Winners will be determined by a judging panel based on video quality, visual appeal, appropriateness and depiction of the College and student life. The decisions of the judges are final.

2. All entries must adhere to the University of Regina Academic and Non-Academic Codes of Conduct and Policies . Any video that is in any way inappropriate or distasteful will be immediately disqualified.

3. Please use common sense when filming in public and private spaces and be respectful of others.

4. If you require a private space within the Collge, such as a classroom, the library or the chapel, please contact Joanne Kozlowski at Joanne.Kozlowski@uregina.ca or phone: 359-1244 to make arrangements.

5. By participating in this contest, all entrants agree to release and hold harmless Campion College from any and all liability whatsoever for injury and/or losses or damages of any kind to any person or property.

6. Winning videos will be used in, but not limited to, Campion's website and recruitment advertisements, therefore, the prize winner(s) agree to have his or her name and/or picture used for promotional material related directly or indirectly with this Contest and/or in association with his/her video submission, free of charge.

7. The awarding of prize monies is at the panel's discretion and thus, they reserve the right to decide not to award prizes.

8. All entries must be original, unpublished, and created soley by the submitting entrant(s). The videos must not violte the intellectual property rights, copyright, or right of property of any third party, and must not have been submitted in any previous competition.

9. Upon entry, all rights in and to the videos become the sole property of Campion College and Campion may use the videos as they so choose.

10. If filming within the College, please respect Campion's building hours: Mon-Thur 8:00am to 10:00pm, Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm, Sat-Sun 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

11. Upon awarding prizes in cases of group entries, there will be only one winning prize per video entry.

12. Entries must be received by 4:00pm October 1, 2010. A complete entry package is as follows: 1) the video on DVD in AVI or MPEG4 format; 2) a completed official entry form signed by all entrants (obtainable at Campion Reception on 3rd Floor or at Campus Ministry CM 103); 3) a completed photo release form signed by all the people appearing in the video and making the video, which is the responsibility of the entrant(s), (obtainable at Campion Reception or at the Campus Ministry Office). 

13. Campion College reserves the right to amend the contest rules without prior notification.
