The foundation for the religious studies collection was the Saskatchewan Oblate Juniorate collection which was acquired in 1968 and contained approximately 25,000 volumes plus 250 scholarly periodical titles. These works were in English, French, German, Latin and Greek and many were unavailable in any other library in Saskatchewan, thus making this a collection of unique significance.
