The Campion College Award of Merit Plaque

This award is a distinction given to a graduating Campion student who had consistently manifested a spirit of working generously for the good of the College, or an exemplary spirit of extraordinary spiritual courage.

The Reverend Gerald F. Lahey, S.J., Prize $500.00

This prize is awarded in memory of Gerald F. Lahey, S.J. who was Dean of Campion College from 1963 to 1969, and is given to the year's most outstanding Campion College graduate.

 

 

THE FOLLOWING PRIZES ARE AWARDED IN THE FALL. NO APPLICATION IS NECESSARY.

The College Prize $500.00

This award is given to the first-year Campion student with the highest average in 30 credit hours over the past two semesters.

The Elizabeth Flynn Book Prize in French $150.00

Established by Fr. Flynn, long-time professor of French at Campion College, in memory of his mother, this prize is awarded to a Campion student who has completed at least 60 credit hours and has attained the highest U.G.P.A. among Campion French majors. The prize is a French language reference book and a $100.00 gift certificate for the University of Regina bookstore.

The Reverend Desmond P. Burke-Gaffney, S.J., Book Prize

Established by Dr. Thomas Rendall, former professor at Campion College, this prize is given in memory of Desmond P. Burke-Gaffney, S.J., who was Dean of Campion College from 1969 to 1976. The prize is a reference book awarded to a student (not necessarily a Campion student) who writes the best term paper in any Shakespeare or Milton class.

The Reverend John J. Lepine, S.J., Book Prize In History

This prize is a reference book in the area of Canadian History and is awarded to a student (not necessarily a Campion student) who writes the best term paper in a Canadian History class.

The English 100 Prize $100.00

This prize is awarded to an outstanding student (not necessarily a Campion student) in a Campion English 100 class or 110 class.

The History 100 Prize $100.00

This prize is awarded to an outstanding student (not necessarily a Campion student) in a Campion History 100 class.

The Philosophy 100 Prize $100.00

This prize is awarded to an outstanding student (not necessarily a Campion student) in a Campion Philosophy 100 class.
